Spring Equinox by Emily Sheffer

$35.00
Sold Out

During the 2018 spring equinox, Emily Sheffer made a cyanotype of the same image for every hour of daylight, twelve in total. As the day passed, the cyanotypes faded, and completely blurred on my final exposure. A small circle at the bottom of each image represents the sun moving across the sky. Inset in the circle is a crescent moon, the same phase that the moon was in that evening. A follow-up to Emily’s previous publication, Winter Solstice.

Edition of 30
4” x 6”
12 images. Accordion book printed on archival inkjet paper with custom printed cover.

Autumn 2018. Designed by Emily Sheffer and published by Dust Collective.
